Does Telegram Premium show deleted messages?
No. Telegram Premium has no feature that shows deleted messages. When the other person deletes a message for both sides, it disappears for Premium subscribers exactly as it does for everyone else.
The idea comes from business chatbots: bots that keep copies of messages were connected through Telegram Business, which used to require Premium. Since May 2026 that section is open to every account, so you don't need Premium for it at all.
What Premium actually gives you
Premium is about limits and extras: bigger uploads, more pinned chats and folders, faster downloads, voice-to-text, extra reactions and stickers, and seeing other people's “last seen” times while hiding your own. None of these keeps a copy of a message after it is deleted.
Why people think Premium shows deleted messages
- Business chatbots. Telegram lets you connect a bot to your own account and pick private chats it can see. Such a bot receives new messages, keeps a copy, and is told when a message is deleted — so it can send you the copy. Until May 2026 this section was part of Premium. Now it is available to everyone, free.
- Mods named “Premium”. Some unofficial Telegram apps call themselves “Premium” or “Pro” and promise deleted messages. They are not Telegram Premium, and logging in to them gives a third party your whole account.
- Paid “Premium unlock” services. They sell either a regular gift subscription or nothing at all. Neither shows deleted messages.
What does keep deleted messages

Nothing — Premium, support or any app — can show a message that was deleted before a copy existed.
How to connect a bot without Premium
- Open the bot in Telegram and press Start.
- Open your profile → “Edit” → “Chatbots”, add the bot by its username.
- Choose which private chats it may see. Telegram shows this screen itself; no login code is involved.

Can Telegram Premium users see deleted messages?
No. A message deleted for both sides disappears for Premium users too.
Do I need Premium to connect a bot that saves deleted messages?
No. The chatbot section has been available to all Telegram accounts since May 2026.
Does the other person know if I keep copies with a bot?
No. Telegram doesn't notify the other person that you connected a bot to your account.
Can anything show messages deleted before I set it up?
No. A copy has to exist before the deletion; nothing can recover messages that were never saved.
