Each bot in short

Amber

Saves deleted text, photos, videos and voice notes, shows the original of edited messages and alerts on messages deleted within seconds. Free plan covers 3 chats with a 7-day archive and 5 MB media; Pro removes the chat limit, keeps 30 days and allows 20 MB. Interface in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish. Its site says the archive is encrypted on disk and has a privacy policy; no company name is listed.

DeletedGuard

Saves deleted messages and media, edit history, hidden-link changes and permanent chat archives with CSV export; tracks deletions in groups on paid plans, with up to 5 minutes' delay. Pays per period without auto-renewal (Stars, Russian SBP or crypto). Its site describes AES-GCM encryption per message and has privacy, terms and security pages.

SaveBot

Saves deleted messages including video notes and stickers, shows edits with highlighting, keeps an archive in a mini-app and sends a daily summary. The main features are free. The site gives no retention period, encryption details or privacy policy.

Zorge

Sends you the original of messages the other person deletes or edits in the private chats you tick. Uses only the read permission out of the fourteen Telegram grants. Keeps copies 7 days, encrypted with a separate key per user; /export and /delete_data. 13 interface languages. 21 days free, then 99 Stars a month. About Zorge.

Vestige and other open-source bots

If you can run a server, open-source Telegram Business bots such as Vestige keep everything on your own machine — nobody else stores your messages. You need to create a bot, host it and keep it running.

How to choose

• Just want to try it: start with whichever free trial or free plan suits you, and check how the bot behaves before paying.
• Groups matter: of the bots above, only DeletedGuard says it covers groups.
• Privacy matters most: self-host an open-source bot, or pick one that publishes a privacy policy, says how long it keeps data and lets you delete it.
• Language: Zorge has 13 interface languages, Amber four.

Whatever you pick: it should connect through Telegram's chatbot section and never ask for your phone number, login code or a session file. Seven checks before connecting any bot.

Common questions

Which Telegram bot is best for deleted messages?

It depends on what you need: a free plan (Amber, SaveBot), groups (DeletedGuard), many languages (Zorge) or self-hosting (Vestige). All hosted ones connect through Telegram's chatbot section.

Is there a free bot that saves deleted Telegram messages?

SaveBot says its main features are free, and Amber has a free plan for 3 chats. Open-source bots such as Vestige are free if you host them yourself.

Can any of these bots recover messages deleted before connecting?

No. Each bot can only show copies of messages it received after you connected it.

Do these bots need Telegram Premium?

No. The chatbot section has been open to all accounts since May 2026.
