About Zorge: who runs it, how it connects and what it stores
Zorge is a Telegram bot, @ZorgeDeal_Bot. You connect it to your own account through Telegram's chatbot section and pick private chats; when the other person deletes or edits a message there, the bot sends you the copy. It is an independent project, not affiliated with Telegram Messenger Inc.
It never asks for your phone number, login code or password, and it cannot show anything sent before you connected it.

How it works
- You open @ZorgeDeal_Bot and press Start.
- In Telegram settings you add it in the chatbot section and tick the private chats it may see. Telegram, not the bot, shows this screen.
- From then on Telegram delivers new messages from those chats to the bot. It keeps a copy.
- If the other person deletes or edits a message, Telegram tells the bot, and the bot sends you the saved copy in your chat with it.
This is the standard Telegram Business mechanism: no login with your number, no QR code, no unofficial client.
Which permissions it uses
Telegram hands every connected business bot a fixed set of permissions. Zorge uses one: reading messages in the chats you ticked. It never writes in your chats, never deletes anything and has no code touching your profile, gifts, Stars or stories. All fourteen permissions explained.
What it stores and for how long
- Messages and their earlier versions: 7 days. Attachments: 7 days. Without an active subscription: 1 day.
- Archive contents are encrypted with a separate key for every user; attachments are stored encrypted.
- Data is not sold, not passed to advertisers and not used to train models.
- /export gives you a dump of your archive, /delete_data deletes it.

What it cannot do
- Show messages deleted before you connected it — no copy of them exists anywhere.
- Work in groups, channels or secret chats — Telegram doesn't deliver those to business bots.
- Save view-once or timed photos and videos.
- Show you anything from chats you didn't tick, or anyone else's chats.
How to spot a fake. The real bot is @ZorgeDeal_Bot and the site is zorgebot.com. Anything under the Zorge name that asks for your phone number, login code or a QR scan is not us. How to check any bot of this kind.
